Employees of the Arasar Group of Companies started dismantling the structures of the Bolshoy Kamenny Bridge, located in the very heart of Moscow, opposite the Kremlin.

In 1643, the ward master Jagon Christler from Strasbourg was invited to build the Stone Bridge. The construction site was determined – a little higher than the confluence of the Neglinka River into the Moskva River. However, things did not go beyond the start of work.
Work resumed in 1682 and was completed in 1692, the bridge was built according to the design of Christler. The bridge was 170 meters long and 22 meters wide. A Russian monk – “bridge master” – Filaret was involved in the work. So much money was spent that Muscovites, talking about something very expensive, said: “More expensive than the Stone Bridge”
In 1783, three arches of the bridge collapsed from the pressure of water, overload and poor maintenance. In this form, the bridge stood until the middle of the 19th century.
In 1859, a new Stone Bridge was built on the site of the old Stone Bridge. This time it was a three-span one with metal trusses. This bridge stood until the mid-1930s.
In 1938, the modern Bolshoi Kamenny Bridge was opened. Its length was 487 meters, including a river span of 105 meters, coastal ones – 42.5 meters, a width of 40 meters.
