Dismantling of the bridge over the Moskva River, 0.6 km. highways “Achkachovo-Gorodische-Glinkovo”, Giganta st., Voskresensk.

Construction of a multifunctional administrative complex, started in 2016, in Moscow, the intersection of the Aminevskoe highway with the Kiev direction of the Moscow Railway, the Ochakovo-Matveevskoe area, ZAO, at the site with cadastral number 77: 07: 0012010: 15272, was stopped at the excavation stage with partially completed supporting structures and overlapping of the basement floor. In 2018, permission was obtained for the construction of the Westerdam residential complex by INTECO Joint Stock Company.

On March 01, 2019, under an agreement with CJSC METALLSTROYINVEST, our company Sphera Rezki LLC started preparing a construction site for the construction of the complex:

– dismantling of supporting reinforced concrete structures with a height of 3.65 m (columns 500 * 500 – 132 units and pylons with a thickness of 300 to 600 mm – 530 lm)
– dismantling of the basement floor slab 250 mm thick – 300 m2,
– dismantling of the outer wall of the basement floor with a height of 3.65 m and a thickness of 400 mm – 1050 lm,
– dividing the foundation slab into 7 independent foundations by forming through joints 50-120 mm wide by the method of diamond drilling perforation to a depth of 1.2-5.1 m – 1270 lm.

The actual volume of dismantling work performed was:

– diamond cutting of heavily reinforced concrete – 2217 m2,
– diamond drilling of heavily reinforced concrete – 24447.5 lm,
– dismantled heavily reinforced concrete with diamond cutting – 1758.78 m3,
– dismantled heavily reinforced concrete by diamond drilling – 222.25 m3.

Considering the subsequent additional agreements for the installation of elevator pits, the volume of fulfilled obligations in monetary terms exceeded 774,000 USD.

Our company completed all the work within the specified timeframe without any complaints, both in terms of the phased transfer, and in the whole project. The total execution time was 189 working days in a round-the-clock operation of the equipment.

We employed up to 28 employees on the project at peak workload and the following list of equipment:

– installation of wire rope cutting with a hydraulic drive – 4 units,
– wall saws with hydraulic and electric drive – 4 units,
– diamond drilling rigs – 14 units.

The project demanded a serious effort from our team in terms of monitoring and maintaining profitability. The conditions were initially not overly favorable, and the deadlines were tight:

– careful selection of consumables for each type of work,
– rationing and control of resource consumption,
– adjustment of logistics in terms of uninterrupted supply of consumables and equipment maintenance,
– operational development of adjustments to the technological process caused by the structural features not taken into account in the terms of reference and changes in the state of the construction site,
– rapid increase in production capacity to meet the deadlines for the fulfillment of obligations, caused by several downtime at the initiative of the customer.

The circumstances that hindered the implementation of the project were:

– incorrectness of the technical task in terms of the construction of the base plate. Instead of the declared data on the fact of the work, it was revealed: the thickness of the slab instead of 1.15-1.6 m turned out to be equal to 1.2-5.1 m with variable reinforcement from two belts of 27-42 mm to four belts of 27-42 mm.
– work stoppages on the initiative and fault of the customer,
– stopping dismantling work during the work to strengthen the reinforcing structures of the pit,
– change and approval of the work scheme due to soil settlement in the area of the dismantled structures after the snow mass has melted. I had to break down the kilometer wall into sections according to the degree of filling of the sinuses with settled soil and apply an individual cutting scheme to each one, combining disk and rope methods. The main criterion was to avoid danger to the life and health of the operators. As a result of this approach, we managed to avoid even the slightest surprises and incidents of any kind.

We are sincerely proud of this project because we were able, despite any difficulties, to complete the volume of work that had grown in the process on time, and it is very important to keep profitability at a fairly high level. The experience gained at this facility helped us grow both in terms of material and technical base and in terms of organizing the production process, planning, and labor protection.
