27.05.2020

LaBounty (STANLEY Infrastructure) hosted a webinar on May 27, 2020 on the impact of the coronavirus on the future of the demoltion and recycling industry using the example of the United States.

The online discussion focused on significant changes in the dismantling industry in the long term due to the current crisis. The results of an online survey by the US National Demolition Association (NDA) were presented on how companies have organized work in production sites in terms of teleworking and health safety requirements.

According to the results of the NDA online survey, 23% of respondents stopped their work for a period of about 1 month (according to the online survey EDA, in Russia this figure is 63%, in Europe – 40%), 72% of American dismantling companies have not cut staff (33% in Russia and 36% in Europe, respectively), 50% of the planned US projects are in limbo (in Russia, the volume of projects that were postponed but remain in force is 44%, in Europe this figure is 63% ).

The discussion was attended by:

Chris Godek – President of the NDA

Jeff Lambert – NDA Executive Director

Michael Moriarty – Marketing Director of STANLEY Infrastructure
