Dismantling of the bridge over the Moskva River, 0.6 km. highways “Achkachovo-Gorodische-Glinkovo”, Giganta st., Voskresensk.
“Not all problems are solved by bridges, but a lot can be accomplished with them.” So spoke the governor of the Moscow region, opening a new bridge across the Moskva River near the city of Voskresensk.
The old reinforced concrete bridge since 1959 served as a technological passage that connected the Afanasyevsky quarry and the Gigant cement plant. For more than half a century, the bridge has experienced high loads from laden BelAZs and has never been repaired. As a result, in 2018, the bridge was declared emergency and completely closed to traffic.
In 2021, a modern bridge was built nearby, which significantly improves the transport situation in the city of Voskresensk and around it. At the same time, it was necessary to carry out jewelry dismantling of the old bridge, which was implemented by the efforts of the company GlavDemontazhStroy-1.
Dismantling was carried out in conditions, each of which complicated the technological processes:
• The distance to the new existing bridge was 25 meters, while it was unacceptable to increase the construction time of the new bridge or to block traffic on it during the dismantling of the old bridge passage.
• In the area of the city of Voskresensk, the Moskva River is a navigable channel with heavy traffic of small, passenger and cargo ships. It is impossible to shut off shipping during dismantling, so it was necessary to ensure the complete safety of shipping.
• In the process of dismantling, 6,500 tons of reinforced concrete fragments were formed, which, according to environmental standards, should not have fallen into the river bed and required special disposal conditions.
• During the implementation of the project, deviations of the design scope of work in the direction of increase were revealed. However, OOO GlavDemontazhStroy-1 carried out the dismantling in 15 days, without increasing the time frame or reducing the quality of work and keeping within the allotted budget.
• Dismantling was carried out in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, which required ensuring high sanitary standards at the work site, in particular, constant monitoring of the health status of personnel before the start of work, as well as during its implementation, in order to prevent the spread of infection among highly qualified personnel.
To solve the set technological tasks, the following was done:
• Dismantling with the use of modern diamond cutting technologies made it possible to carry out jewelry element-wise dismantling of the bridge crossing, without interfering with construction work on the installation of a new bridge and without disrupting traffic along the river and along the new bridge.
• For the safe movement of river vessels during the dismantling period, interaction with the dispatch service of hydraulic structures was organized. To monitor the riverbed, signalmen were posted, who quickly transmitted information via radio communication channels about the approach of river transport to stop work while the ships were passing.
• To comply with environmental standards, before the start of work, compensating measures were taken – the installation of a catcher mesh in the dismantling zone, which completely excluded fragments of reinforced concrete structures from entering the channel of the Moskva River during the work. Upon completion of dismantling, 6,500 tons of reinforced concrete structures were sent to the crushing complex and processed into materials for new construction.
• Compliance with the terms of dismantling became possible due to the organization of work around the clock and the involvement of additional production facilities. For the production of work, 20 units of special equipment and high-tech equipment from leading world manufacturers were involved with which 43 professionals worked.
The well-coordinated work of the team of designers and production workers made it possible to compensate for the shift in the start of work by two calendar weeks and ensure the delivery of work on dismantling the riverbed section of the bridge within the timeframe set in the work schedule.
Dismantling of the bridge crossing over the Moskva River of the Achkasovo-Gorodische-Glinkovo highway in the city of Voskresensk, implemented by GlavDemontazhStroy-1 LLC using diamond cutting and drilling technologies, was completed on time in accordance with the budget and despite a number of technical and environmental difficulties. received gratitude from the customer.
