Ufaleinickel project.
Ufaleinickel, once known as the first nickel plant in the USSR, ceased to exist in 2017 as a result of bankruptcy. In its place, it is planned to build two new enterprises, including the Zinc Electrolysis Plant. According to the government of the Chelyabinsk region, the capacity of the new plant will be 120 thousand tons of zinc metal per year, which will allow it to become the second largest in Russia in terms of zinc production. In inheritance from an old plant on an area of 550 thousand square meters. m left more than 100 hazardous and emergency facilities – factory buildings, warehouses, underground and aboveground galleries, chimneys, inoperative equipment and related infrastructure.

Description.
During the implementation of the project, we dismantled the aboveground and underground parts of all buildings and structures of the plant, technological equipment of engineering networks. All objects, including foundations, were dismantled as soon as possible. The industrial site was completely cleared and prepared for the construction of a new production facility.

Features of the work
In view of the emergency state of individual structures, altitude and cramped conditions, the design department of GSK Reforma developed a number of special technological solutions to ensure the safe production of work.
On the territory of the plant there were two reinforced concrete pipes with a height of 150 and 100 meters, respectively. In addition, the complex of buildings and structures of the gas cleaning unit and the crane trestle consisted of metal beams and columns with cross-sectional dimensions of up to three meters with a height of the entire complex of more than 50 meters. To dismantle these structures, it was decided to use special blasting operations with additional development of the necessary design documentation.
Construction waste (broken reinforced concrete, concrete and brick) was taken to the disposal site in accordance with the requirements of environmental legislation.
Hazardous waste was disposed of properly – industrial waste of hazard classes 3-4 were removed and disposed of at licensed landfills.
Result
The industrial site is completely vacated. Construction of new buildings is underway. In 2022, two new productions will start operating at the site. 1,060 new jobs will be created.
