The demolition of the multidisciplinary hospital in Mezhdurechensk.

The construction of the new building of the multidisciplinary hospital in Mezhdurechensk began in the 80s of the last century, but they did not have time to complete the facility. Some of the buildings remained unfinished and stood in the form of boxes for 20 years. Since 2010, the construction of the hospital has been resumed several times by different contractors.

During the downtime, the previously erected facilities of the hospital fell into disrepair. The structures have numerous mechanical and corrosion damage and were not subject to repair.

The general contractor has planned a phased dismantling work. GSK “REFORMA” was involved in the dismantling of the first building of the complex of buildings of the medical center. After dismantling, it is planned to build a new complex of the city multidisciplinary hospital on the land plot.

Project objectives:

1. Dismantle the monolithic multi-storey unfinished building on the territory of the medical center on time
2. Prevent damage to the adjacent (50 mm distance) operating hospital buildings
3. Perform work in accordance with the “Project for the organization of work on the demolition or dismantling of capital construction facilities” and safety requirements, to prevent emergencies.

Features of the work:

1. The building to be demolished is monolithic. In terms of their quality characteristics, monolithic structures are much stronger and tougher than all known building materials. For this reason, dismantling monolithic structures requires more time and resources. The height of the building is 32 m.
2. In the collapse zone there was an operating medical department (adjacent to the end of the building to be dismantled at a distance of 50 mm).

3 stages of protection of the existing hospital building were developed and implemented:

1. A special technology for biting through monolithic structures was developed, which prevented any parts and pieces of the building from falling towards the existing hospital
2. Device on the side of the building to be preserved with a protective structure (covering) with a 6-meter outreach from steel structures and two layers of a chain-link mesh (different cells), resting on a channel fixed to the ceiling on each floor of the building to be dismantled.
3. Arrangement of a special protective covering for the preserved building, withstanding the fall of large pieces.
4. Dismantling of the foundation was carried out using a hydraulic hammer.

Result:

On the vacated site, the general contractor continued the construction of a medical center. The multidisciplinary hospital-in-patient department will include a modern diagnostic center, a reception and diagnostic department, departments of surgery, traumatology, gynecology, a dialysis center, therapy, a primary vascular department and an operating unit. Currently, work is progressing on schedule.
