NADO will take part.
On April 7 and 8, TBM Group will hold an international online conference on the Decommissioning and Dismantling of Highly Hazardous Industrial Facilities: Fossil Fuel Power Plants, Chemical/Petrochemical and Oil Refineries.
On behalf of the Russian Federation, the head of the National Association of Demolition Organizations, Artem Kondratiev, will speak at the conference. In his presentation, Artem will talk about the project of the NADO Association member company, GSK Reform – Dismantling the Nizhneturinskaya GRES.
Currently, the decommissioning and demolition of fossil fuel power plants is of unprecedented importance, not only in Europe but throughout the world. As of November 2021, nearly 200 countries at the COP26 climate summit made a historic commitment to accelerate the end of fossil fuel subsidies and reduce coal use, meaning power plant operators must act quickly. Moreover, they need to organize their decommissioning and demolition processes in the most efficient, optimal and cost-effective way. This is not an easy task as there are many variables to consider, from adhering to current regulations to implementing the best technical and financial strategies.
During the two days of the conference, participants will have the opportunity to discuss a wide range of topical topics that are critical for the decommissioning and demolition of hazardous process installations:
The speakers of the conference will be international experts representing the fields of the energy sector, decommissioning, demolition of hazardous buildings and structures, management of hazardous waste from the demolition of buildings.
