Oil industry: land clearing. Experience of GSK “Reforma”

The Kuibyshev Refinery as part of the Rosneft Oil Company instructed Reforma to demoltion the decommissioned complex of buildings.

The full cycle of work was carried out in the period from December 16, 2019 to May 31, 2020. During this time, specialists of GSK “Reforma” performed:

1. demoltion of unit 43-102 No. 2 of shop No. 4 in part:
2. demolition of a building with a deaerator height of 42 meters with foundations;
3. elimination of foundations of structures: control room, technological pumping house, pedestal, pipe, furnace hog, transformer substation, compressor room. The maximum depth of the foundations is marked at the level of 6.0 meters;
4. demoltion of the warehouse building of workshop No. 12 with a foundation depth of 0.5 meters;
5. backfilling of excavated foundations with imported soil;
6. sorting and fragmentation of demoltioned parts;
7. removal and disposal of construction waste at a specialized landfill.

During the demoltion of the 43-102 unit No. 2 of the workshop No. 4, metal structures were removed with gas cutters and, using a Liebherr LTM-1200-5.1 truck crane, they were placed on a temporary storage site for subsequent fragmentation and disposal.

The deaerator building was demolished with special high-performance equipment – a Liebherr Demolition R954 excavator (boom length 34 m), complete with hydraulic shears. The crushing of foundations, sorting and loading of construction waste into dump trucks was carried out by Komatsu PC 200 excavators complete with hydraulic shears and a hydraulic hammer. Construction waste disposed of at a specialized landfill in the amount of more than 7,000 tons.

To restore the relief and the subsequent landscaping of the territory, at the final stage of work in the places where the foundations were extracted, the pits were backfilled. The volume of imported soil was 8,400 tons.

For 5.5 months of work, GSK “Reforma” cleared the site and restored the relief of the territory to replace the decommissioned objects of the oil industry.

The customer highly appreciated the quality of the work performed.

On the account of GSK “Reform” this is not the first job in the structure of NK “Rosneft”. Earlier, a bitumen installation and a fire extinguishing building were liquidated at the Saratov oil refinery. Upon completion of the work, the employees of the State Insurance Company “Reform” also implemented the reclamation of 2.5 hectares of land with subsequent landscaping of the territory.
